Alessandro Stella (VAT ID IT12319920968), owner of the websites branded “QualityMedDev” and “QualityMedDev Academy”, introduces these Terms of Service (referred to as the “TOS”) to comply with the applicable national and international regulations jurisdiction. The purpose of the Terms of Service is to establish the terms and technical requirements for providing our online services and courses to Participants. Our services are accessible through the website academy.qualitymeddev.com (referred to as the “Website”). When using our services, Participants are expected to adhere to the Terns of Service (TOS).

By visiting this website and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms and Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms and Conditions.

General Conditions

In order to purchase our Services and access the Website, it is required that you possess full legal capacity as an individual or act on behalf of a legal entity through authorized representatives, such as directors or managers. When it comes to online courses, each seat you purchase is intended for one Participant only. You have the flexibility to determine the number of seats you wish to acquire during the ordering process.

If you are not personally participating in a course or if there are additional Participants involved, it is your responsibility to ensure that each Participant individually provides us with the necessary data for granting them access to the Service. This can be done by having them sign up on the Website. If you are providing the Participant’s data on behalf of others, you will need to accept the provisions of the Data Processing Addendum and adhere to the guidelines specifined in the dedicated section. 

Our Services are exclusively intended for educational purposes. We reserve the right to refuse the provision of the Service to you and/or a Participant if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that you have the intention to develop a similar service to what is offered by Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev.

It is strictly prohibited for you and/or the Participant to provide any content that is prohibited by law, such as promoting violence or infringing upon the rights of third parties.

Depending on the type of Service you select, certain requirements must be met by your device and the devices used by other Participants. These include:

  • For online courses as described in Section 5:
  • Access to the Internet
  • The most up-to-date versions of Chrome or Safari or Firefox  web browsers

It is essential that the assigned Participant maintain the confidentiality of the password and refrain from disclosing it to anyone else. The Participant assigned to a particular seat is not permitted to have another individual receive the Service in conjunction with them or on their behalf.

Services Provided

Through the Website, Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy offers a range of Services that include both free and partially free options. Access to these Services is granted upon registration on the Website and/or fulfillment of additional requirements as outlined in these Terms and Conditions and/or on the Product Page. The Services provided by Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy encompass the following:

  • Online courses
  • Live virtual classroom sessions
  • Downloadable templates

It is entirely at your discretion whether or not to make use of the aforementioned Services.

Online Courses

Alessandro Stella, as the rightful owner of Intellectual Property rights, offers a range of online courses for a specified fee listed on the Product Page.

An online course may incorporate interactive elements such as quizzes and exams. A comprehensive description of each online course is presented on the Product Page.

The course description includes essential details about the subject matter, number of lessons/topics, quizzes, exams, potential certification upon completion, and estimated time required to finish the course. If applicable, Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy reserves the right to provide updated information on the estimated completion time, ensuring efficient course completion for you or the Participant. Allocating sufficient time to complete the course within a reasonable timeframe is your or the Participant’s responsibility.

Upon purchasing an online course, you receive access to the specified number of seats for a limited period. By default, the online course remains accessible for 12 months from enrollment, unless otherwise specified on the Product Page. 

This continued access remains in effect as long as the online course is available on the Website, or until significant changes are implemented. “Significant changes” refer to modifications that would adversely impact Participants already enrolled, such as alterations to the course structure, automation, or instructor. Determination of what constitutes a “significant change” rests with Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy discretion. The duration of availability for all online courses on the Website is determined by Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy, considering the need for implementing significant changes.

Upon successful completion of an online course, Participants are entitled to receive a certificate. Certificates may be sent via mail, email, or made available as a downloadable PDF file on the Website or an external platform specifically designated for this purpose. If you have ordered the online course, you may request a complimentary copy of the certificate to be sent via email. 

Any form of cheating or allowing unauthorized access to the online course, apart from the designated Participant, is strictly prohibited. Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy reserves the right to revoke access to the online course at any time if there are reasonable suspicions of cheating or unauthorized access. In such instances, no refunds will be provided.

To register on the Website, the following criteria must be met:

a. Fill out the provided form on the Website accurately.

b. Agree to the Terms of Service.

c. Consent to the Privacy and Cookies Policy.

If any changes are made to the data provided by you or the Participant, such as a new address or email, you and the Participant agree to update the information before continuing to use the Website. This includes completing any ongoing courses or purchasing new Services. The appropriate form available on the Website should be utilized for this purpose.

Upon registration, an account will be established for you and/or the Participant on the Website. This account serves as a repository of information encompassing you, the Participant, and your interactions within the Website pertaining to the ordered Services. Within this account, you can access the purchased Services and review the order history, while the Participant can access the assigned online courses. 

Placing Orders

Our service for placing orders is available to you round the clock, every day of the year, unless stated otherwise in the maintenance-related provisions.

Once you have completed the sign-up process on the Website, you gain access to use the Website and can proceed to order our Services. Orders are typically placed through the checkout process. It is possible to place an order by sending an email to academy@qualitymeddev.com. Detailed instructions regarding each method can be found herein and on the Website. Kindly note that we reserve the right to introduce additional conditions for the availability of these options, which will be communicated on the Website as necessary.

 If you choose to use the checkout process, the following conditions apply:

  • Before placing an order, ensure that you have added your desired Services to the virtual shopping cart. The virtual shopping cart enables you to conveniently gather your selected Services and view the total price. You have the flexibility to manage the contents of your cart by adding or removing items.
  • Once you have made a final decision on the Services you wish to purchase, you will be directed to an online form that needs to be completed in order to place the order on the Website. This form may include additional sections related to the payment method.

If you prefer to place an order by sending an email to academy@qualitymeddev.com, make sure that your email includes the following information:

a. For Services ordered for yourself: Clearly specify the name of the Service, your first and last name, and provide any relevant invoicing reference if applicable.

b. For Services ordered on behalf of other Participants: Clearly indicate the name of the Service for which the Participants are being registered, along with their first names, last names, email addresses, and any applicable invoicing reference.

 By placing an order for our Services, you affirm that you have carefully read and fully understood these Terms of Service, wholeheartedly accept their content, and agree to be bound by them. Any additional terms and conditions submitted with your order will not be considered valid or binding for us, as the provision of Services is exclusively governed by these TOS. By providing us with the necessary Participant’s data required to grant them access to the Service on behalf of other Participants, you confirm that you have read and comprehended the Data Processing Addendum in its entirety, accept its content without reservation, and consent to its application. Placing an order signifies an offer made by you to Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy. Upon receipt of the offer, we reserve the right to verify the correctness of the order placement in compliance with these TOS and exercise discretion in accepting or rejecting the offer.

Upon acceptance of your order, we will promptly send a confirmation email to the address provided during the order placement, acknowledging the acceptance of your offer.

Products Or Services

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

Management of Payment

To make payment for the Services available on our Website, you can utilize the provided payment methods or agree upon alternative methods with Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy, adhering to our specified payment regulations. For email-based purchases, please ensure payment is made in accordance with the invoice issued by Alessandro Stella. 

If you opt to use a third-party provider for payment, as indicated on the Website, it is essential that you accept their mandatory Terms of Service (TOS) to proceed with the transaction. Failure to accept these terms and conditions may hinder the delivery of requested services, unless stated otherwise on the Product Page. 

The prices displayed on our Website exclude any applicable taxes or additional fees. Services are purchased at the prevailing prices during the order placement. The prices indicated on the Website are denoted in EUR and may be converted to other currencies, depending on the available options at the time and location of your order. By default, when orders are made via email, EUR is the default currency, and any required currency conversions will be made on the day the invoice is issued. 

We reserve the right to modify prices; however, this provision does not apply to orders that have already been placed.  Unless otherwise agreed upon, the provision of the Service will commence once payment has been received by Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy or the designated third-party provider. Orders that remain unpaid will be automatically canceled unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon with Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy. 

To ensure accurate billing, please provide the following information to Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy or the third-party provider, if applicable: 

a. Your organizational form, indicating whether you are an individual, a legal person, or another entity. 

b. If you are an individual, kindly specify your country of residence. 

c. If you are a legal person or another entity, please provide Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy with your company name, address, phone number, and any relevant documentation confirming your organizational form

d. If applicable, provide a valid EU VAT number or equivalent identification number. Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy reserves the right to charge you for any additional costs and/or taxes resulting from the failure to provide the information listed before. 

In the event of canceling a Service in accordance with the Terms of Service (TOS), you will be responsible for paying the full price for the remaining purchased Service, including the canceled Service, if a refund has been issued. We reserve the right to suspend the provision of the Service if there is an outstanding payment on your account. Service will resume only after the outstanding payment has been settled in full.

Cancellation Policy

It is not possible to cancel online course.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools ”as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Intellectual Properties

Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy holds exclusive rights to the content provided within the Services and Course Material, including copyrights, database rights, and trademarks.

It is imperative that you and the Participants adhere to intellectual property rights regulations. Unauthorized copying, modification, or public disclosure of the Services’ content and/or Course Material without prior consent from Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy is strictly prohibited, unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement or as stipulated by applicable laws. Recording of the Classroom Session in any form is prohibited, unless explicitly agreed upon with Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy in advance.

Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy hereby grants you and/or the Participant, as applicable:

a. A non-exclusive, worldwide right, under its intellectual property rights, to use the Course Material, without the right to copy, modify, further develop, sell, or distribute it. In the case of Course Material containing templates, please refer to section b) below.

b. A non-exclusive, worldwide right, under its intellectual property rights, to use and further develop the templates or linked material for your internal or personal use, without the right to copy, sell, or distribute them.

You and/or the Participant are prohibited from using QualityMedDev Academy logo, or any other components of the Website unless expressly authorized in these Terms or with written consent from Alessandro Stella / QualityMedDev Academy . It is strictly forbidden to engage in any actions that may imitate or replicate the Website, particularly on websites or domains associated with you and/or the Participant.

User Comments, Feedback And Other Submissions

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example contest entries) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
